About Dr. Cronin

Dr. Gaye Cronin, Vestibular & Facial Nerve Specialist, Vestibular Rehabilitation, neuromuscular facial re-education & balance

Dr. Gaye W. Cronin is a master clinician specializing in vestibular rehabilitation, neuromuscular facial re-education and balance retraining having treated more than 35,000 patients suffering from vestibular, facial paralysis or balance disorders. She received her Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees from the Medical College of Georgia, and her Doctorate from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She has years of clinical experience in various physical rehabilitation, education and administrative settings including the Medical College of Georgia and Emory University Clinic and Facial Nerve Center.

 

In 1988, she founded and became director of the Vestibular Rehabilitation, Balance Retraining, and Neuromuscular Facial Re-education Programs at the Atlanta Ear Clinic (that changed names in 2019 to Vestibular & Facial Nerve Atlanta) specializing in geriatric, pediatric, facial retraining, fall reduction, and vestibular/balance rehabilitation programs for adults and children. She has also served as an associate professor at the Medical College of Georgia and the University of St. Augustine. She has published extensively.

Neuromuscular Facial Retraining for facial palsy conditions such as Bell’s palsy, Ramsay Hunt syndrome, Facial/skull trauma/fx, skull based tumors, facial schwannoma, parotid, congenital abnormalities, acoustic neuroma, synkinesis, hyperkinesia, hemifacial spasm and vascular dysfunction/malformations.
